Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a new habit?
Tap the + button on the main screen. Enter your habit name, choose a type (simple, quantified, timed, or subtasks), set your target, and tap Save.
What are the different habit types?
- Simple: Yes/no habits (Did you exercise today?)
- Quantified: Habits with a number target (Drink 8 glasses of water)
- Timed: Habits with a time goal and built-in timer (Meditate for 10 minutes)
- Subtasks: Habits with multiple steps (Morning routine with 5 tasks)
How do I edit a past day's habits?
Go to the Calendar tab and tap on any past date. You can then edit your habit completions for that day.
How do I sync my data across devices?
Make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account on all your devices. Go to Settings > iCloud Sync and enable it. Your habits will automatically sync.
How do I set up reminders?
Go to Settings > Reminders. Enable notifications and add reminder times. You can set multiple reminders throughout the day.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings > Export Data. You can export your habits as JSON or CSV format for backup or analysis.
How do I delete a habit?
On the main habits list, swipe left on a habit and tap Delete. Or tap Edit, select the habit, and tap the delete option.
Why am I seeing ads?
Habit Swipe shows an occasional ad after you complete all your daily habits. Ads are limited to once every 12 hours and help keep the app free. You can disable ads in Settings if you prefer.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your habit data is stored only on your device and your personal iCloud account. We never see, collect, or sell your habit data. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Tips for Success
Start Small
Begin with just 2-3 habits. It's easier to build consistency with fewer habits than to overwhelm yourself with too many.
Be Specific
Instead of "Exercise," try "Walk for 20 minutes" or "Do 10 pushups." Specific habits are easier to complete and track.
Stack Your Habits
Connect new habits to existing routines. "After I brush my teeth, I will meditate for 5 minutes."
Set Reminders
Use the reminder feature to get a nudge at the same time each day. Consistency is key to building habits.
